Canon has made one more G-Series compact camera. But this time, with the PowerShot G1X, Canon has given a compact with serious resemblance to the DSLR ones.

Some of the highlights of this camera are the 14megapixel, 1.5 inch CMOS sensor, the 28 to 112mm F2.8 to F5.8 lens, its optical viewfinder and an ISO 100 to 12,800.

Its extensive manual control will give you a wide variety of choices for different lights and environments. It has a 14-bit Raw and 4.5fps continuous shooting (up to 6 frames). And its 6.8 Wh NB-10L battery is rated at 250 shots!

Its sensor is actually more than six times the size of the standard Canon G-series compacts.

It’s a camera that can be a great friend for land adventures, such as the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre due to its flexible zoom range, but also a great tool for underwater photography – and we sell the G1X in combination with an underwater housing.

At the KK Times Square Diveshop, we have a special promotion, that includes the camera, the underwater housing AND a leather casing. Our Diveshop supervisor would be delighted to show you its use and answer your any questions you might have.
